A motor vehicle hit a red light pole and crashed with another car which claimed the life of a man and a woman. The collision took place on the Northwest side on Sunday morning which left four people injured and leaving two dead.The man and woman were taken to the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Centre where they were declared dead as per the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.... full story

The annual Click it or Ticket it campaign organized by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration starts today. The program will be running till the 5th of June. In the South Eastern Connecticut, the drivers and passengers who won’t be wearing a seta belt or will be talking on their cell phones will be charged with heavy fines. ... full story

A majority of the motorists have run the red light at various intersections in the city. Though there were red light cameras installed but the offensors have not paid the fines yet. Jason Butler, who was serving in Bristol as a Detective Constable was jailed for six months as he lied to protect himself from a driving ban. The officer already had 6 points to his account and he was caught by a speed camera for breaking the speed limit twice. He was scared that he might have to loose his license. ... full story

The New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Society has approved a grant which will allow the local authorities to make a law as well as create an awareness program about the pedestrian safety. The law has been enforced from April 2010 and the drivers need to abide by the traffic rules. The drivers have to stop their vehicles if they see a pedestrian crossing the way on the crosswalk.... full story
