Not clear how Speedtrap works on a GPS

It's not clear to me how Speedtrap works on a GPS:

    1. Does it make the GPS alert you when you're approaching a speedtrap?

    2. Does it display the speedtraps on the main GPS map as you're driving?

    3. Or does it just provide a map you can check before you start driving to locate speed traps along your route?

If it does both (1) and (2), that's ideal. If it does just (1) or (2) but not both, that's okay. If it just does (3), then that's less useful.

    Thanks for any info.

    1. Yes, It alerts you to what speed you are currently driving and what speed has been reported for that road.

    2. Yes, it displays and alerts you to speed traps within a predetermined "circle" you configure when you load them to your GPS

    3. The online map is for viewing speed traps before you drive, Downloading them is so you can take it with you on the road.

What ever happened to supporting PC based software we discussed last year?
