PML and Ford have been palling around for a while now, most recently to develop the Volvo Recharge C30 concept . Now they've gone in on an in-wheel electric drive plug-in hybrid Ford F-150 concept coming to SEMA . The in-wheel motors are a clever brushed pancake design that act as a part of the wheel and not just another add-in part. We've often thought hybrid tech would be best developed in the pickup market, where high torque matters and light weight and great driving dynamics don't. Don't be surprised if we go poking around this truck when we hit the show floor in Vegas. [ Pickuptrucks.com ]

The boulder-climbing boys over at Hummer have just revealed details and photos of three concept vehicles debuting at SEMA next month based on the Hummer H3. Two are concepts direct from the manufacturer. The first is a new, pre-runner-style H3T called the "Weekend Warrior" rigged with performance and appearance accessories. The second concept, dubbed the H3 X is what Hummer thinks the ultimate H3 should look like. The third vehicle is a modified H3 Alpha built by Four Wheeler Magazine as a project vehicle which they've been tossing details around about left and right. We'll see all three first hand in just a week or so in Vegas. Hit the jump for more details. galleryPost('H3TWeekendSEMA', 2, 'H3T Becomes A Weekend Warrior For Real'); galleryPost('HummerH3XSEMA', 2, 'H3X Is No XXX'); galleryPost('HummerH3AlphaSEMA', 2, 'Four Wheeler H3 Alpha'); HUMMER SHOWS A TRIO OF H3-BASED CONCEPTS AND PROJECTS AT THE 2008 SEMA SHOW LAS...

Refreshed for the autumn season, this is the latest iteration of the polarizing ASI-tuned Bentley Continental GTR . Similar to the car Toyo will be showing off at SEMA , the GTR is an 800 HP monster with intimidatingly tasteless styling to match. The only thing we want this for is to lovingly crash it into a field . galleryPost('ASICGTbent', 6, 'Tetsu Attack'); galleryPost('ASICGTint', 3, 'Tetsu GTR Interior'); None of this comes as a big surprise. Somehow the Bentley Continental GT naturally lends itself to this sort of abuse. It's the Bentley for new-money douches, a sort of Infiniti G37 for multi-millionaires. We're not saying it isn't a fantastic machine, just that you'd never dare see anyone do this to a Brooklands . [via CarDomain ]

Dodge is pulling out all its MOPAR stops for this year’s SEMA, bringing not only the Challenger SRT10 , but six other concepts highlighting upgrades available straight from Mopar madmen. In keeping with SEMA’s fake boobs and loud stereos aesthetic, all six are painted atrociously, but we can’t help but be intrigued by the possibility of inserting crate HEMI engines into just about anything. Hit the jump for details on all six. galleryPost('08dodgesema', 12, 'Dodge at SEMA'); 2008 SEMA Mopar Underground Sneak Peek Dodge Challenger Blacktop A menacing creation from the minds of the Mopar Underground design team. The Dodge Challenger Blacktop began life as a 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 and six-speed manual transmission. Mopar Underground added custom-made spoilers and front brow. To finish off the look, a black-on-black racing stripe paint scheme was added. The “in the weeds” stance and superb handling characteristics are accomplished by the...

Dodge is hoping to capture the imagination of would-be tire smokers at this year's SEMA show with the Dodge Challenger SRT10. The concept is, as you might guess, a version of the Challenger SRT8 with two more cylinders. Where did these extra cylinders come from? Why a Viper SRT10 (Dodge doesn't have that many V10 designs lying around). And how much power does the Viper V10 engine unload on the Challenger? galleryPost('challengersrt10sema', 6, 'Challenger SRT-10 Concept'); In concept form the Challenger should get 600 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque out of the 8.4-liter V10. To keep the SRT10 on the road the concept was upgraded with new brakes and Bilstein shocks. To keep the SRT10 SEMA-worthy they added a carbon fiber hood to replace the stickers and some sportier seats. [Dodge via AutoWeek ]
