Do you want to build your very own Camaro GS Racer featured at this year’s SEMA show? GM Performance Parts has the answer for you with the new $7,000 2010 Chevy Camaro body-in-white. Starting early next year, GM Performance Parts will begin offering the 2010 Chevy Camaro body-in-white in their catalog. Marketed towards the competition racer set, the 2010 Camaro body-in-white will save both time and money. The package includes an assembled body structure, including front fenders, hood, front fascia, grille, roof, doors, rear quarter panels, trunk lid, rear fascia, complete floorpan and chassis rails. The cost of the package will run you $7,000, a far cry from the up-level SS model that would see the removal of 90% of its original content. In case you haven't seen the 2010 Chevy Camaro enough yet, GM is bringing four concept Camaros to SEMA this week, some of them actually interesting. The lineup includes the Camaro LS7 Concept (guess what that one's got under the hood), Camaro Dale Earnhardt Jr. Concept (yeah, we figured), Camaro Black Concept and the Camaro GS Racecar Concept, along with a GM Performance Parts car loaded to the gills with stuff you can buy for your Camaro — the one that won't be in your garage until at least next year. Let's take a closer look at this bevy of concepts for the official car of this year's SEMA show plus all the accessories. Chevy has released a single teaser-style image of their 2008 SEMA show-bound Camaro Black, described only as "a dark and mysterious interpreta." We're pretty sure they meant "interpretation" but ran into character limitations in their imaging software. Regardless, the Camaro Black show car actually looks to be a gunmetal gray based on the photo and appears decked out with a sinister-looking body kit and the requisite SEMA monster alloy wheels shod in low-profile rubber. The red glow from the headlights may also indicate some sort of LED illumination kit, but what you see is all we know at this point; we'll either get a constant dribble of teasers a-la 2010 Mustang or just bring you the goods from the Vegas show floor in two weeks. galleryPost('camaroblacksema', 1, 'Camaro Black Is A Dark And Mysterious Interpreta');

Since the 2010 Chevy Camaro is the official vehicle of the 2008 SEMA show , GM has been hard at work readying special cars to show off new goodies from GM Performance Parts. Working with the GM Design Team on some "interesting twists," the builds of the hopped-up Camaros have been chronicled in these new teaser videos . We're not sure if the SEMA cars will be anything like Bumblebee's new look or the red work in progress we've seen before, but at least they won't be the standard Camaro that we've all seen plenty of already. Looks like the crew of Transformers 2 was caught on-set in Arizona at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base along with a couple of the more robotic cast members — albeit while in their vehicle mode get-ups. Based on the plates, it looks like we're also able to put a name to the bot who will be played by the Chevy Beat : Skids. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't decipher the plate on the Chevy Trax , but that's okay because the upgraded Chevy Camaro will still be Bumblebee, and that's the only one we really care about anyway. All you Camaro fanboys waiting to plan the option boxes you'll be checking when the car shows up in showrooms this spring, rejoice. Someone on the forums has leaked a list of standard and optional features available on all Camaro trim lines. From the looks of things, a "base" Camaro is a bit of a misnomer, as even the LS will get XM, Stabilitrak, 6-speaker audio and enough airbags to float the Titanic. Of course, the magic code is "1SS" which nets you the 6.2-liter V8 and, you know, a bunch of other unimportant stuff. Full breakdown after the jump. galleryPost('camarossprod', 6, 'The Magic of 1SS'); LS Standard Equipment - 3.6L SIDI V6 engine - Dual exhaust - 18-inch steel wheels - Onstar Safe & Sound - XM radio - Stabilitrak - 6 air bags: front, side and curtain - 6-speaker base audio system Optional Equipment - Floor mats 1LT Standard Equipment (includes or replaces LS equipment) - 18-inch aluminum Wheels - Fog lights - Driver Information Center...

We're already the first to have shown you Bumblebee's newly tarted-up aftermarket look (and again showing off that very newish nose and with Shia ), and now we're getting some better shots of his muscularly-modded bod sitting on the Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen set at White Sands AFB. We already know the look isn't any production trim level Chevy will be offering on the new Chevy Camaro, and thank goodness because it's certainly "special" looking. And — umm — that's really all there is to say about that. If you're interested, Transformers Live has some more galleries of some of the other vehicles (Optimus Prime, Ratchet and Ironhide) over there . galleryPost('BeeTF2Camaro', 6, 'Bumblebee Tuna Casserole');

This photoshopped 2010 Chevy Camaro might be digitally wearing plates from the German tuning shop Hamann Motorsport, it's most assuredly not the real thing. Hamann spends a lot of time customizing the latest and greatest from the likes of BMW, Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini into highly-wound cars with names like "Hamann Flash," "Hamann Cyclone" and "Hamann Conquistador," but they're not so much known for tuning cars from Chevy. We think that's all going to change once they see this piece of work. OK, probably not, as this is actually just a poorly done p-shop from a deviant artist with the handle of Morfiuss . When not busy trying to prove Keanu Reeves is "The One," the Croatian p-shops cars — like this Camaro — that will never exist. Especially because everyone knows Hamann's really busy working on a Chevy Aveo for SEMA with a cat-back quad-piped exhaust. We hear they'll be calling it the "Hamann Budget."...

That's right folks —never mind the ad supplement , or the leaked pictures — now the first official press photo — or press rendering, we guess — of the new Chevrolet Camaro SS was just revealed on GM's Media site. We can't seem to find any other press release or official documentation accompanying it. But whatevs, we're just pleased as punch Chevy finally showed us what the new up-powered Camaro with the 6.2-liter V8 engine . Well, now that the strip tease is finally over, we guess we can all now sleep easy. Click here for the high-resolution picture.

We're expecting official images of the ever-pending 2010 Chevy Camaro SS any day now, but the various photo shoots ahead of that day have yielded at least one gallery of good ones. An AutoInsane reader managed to get into a shoot and take some really great photos of the latest Chevy super sport. As we saw when Fergie showed off the Camaro SS , it looks a lot like the concept but with some real rearview mirrors and actual badging. galleryPost('camarossprod', 6, 'Unofficial Camaro SS Pictures'); [More at: AutoInsane ]

The first official image of the production-intent 2010 Chevy Camaro SS debuted in a Conde Nast magazine ad supplement called "Fashion Rocks" aside some singer we seem to remember used to be in the Black-Eyed Peas. This makes way more sense than dropping it into say, a buff book or, you know debuting it online like every other car these days. But, although the SS looks similar to the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro we saw revealed live in Detroit recently, there are some tell-tale differences. The mail-slot air intake on the top of the front fascia is real — which is to say there's an opening. Then of course there's the "SS" badge in the grille. Also, the front brake rotors are the 14-inch size with some big Brembo calipers. OK, so pretty much Fergie's Chevrolet Camaro SS looks exactly like the concept Camaro save the realistic sideview mirrors so, you know... surprise! [ Edmunds Inside Line ]
