We've already seen the Tron-tastic lights of the Chevy Orlando , but now GM has officially released details for the Paris Motor Show . These official photos are new too, though admittedly kind of boring since they don't play up just how cool all the glowing blue parts of the car look. The Orlando does seem to be just the kind of practical European-style MPV that American families in need of a fuel-efficient seven-seater would greatly appreciate. Of course, we haven't even seen it in the flesh and metal quite yet, so make sure to check back for more updates from Paris. GM just officially unveiled the Chevy Cruze ’s interior in Paris, and it’s surprisingly nice. Maybe a bit Honda-like, but welcoming and contemporary nonetheless. Aside from the colorful fabric inserts, the new global economy car’s dash relies on an integrated center stack that does away with traditional partitions for the interfaces, grouping them all into one, central unit. Also noteworthy are the attractive instruments. In fact, looking at these pictures, it’s hard to tell that the Cruze will be a bargain, inside; it looks almost as up-market as a 2008 Honda Accord . The release follows the jump. galleryPost('chevycruzeinterioroct1', 3, 'Chevy Cruze'); Paris – Today General Motors President and Chief Operating Officer Fritz Henderson and Ed Welburn, vice president of Global Design revealed the all-new Chevrolet Cruze at a special premiere event at the “Le Pavillon Dauphine”, located in the heart of Paris. We know Chevy probably will beat us over the head with how family-friendly and roomy the Chevy Orlando concept is as its shroud drops at the Paris Motor Show , but naming it after the kid-centric megabux epicenter of Disney just seems a bit extreme. The seven passenger minivan " multi-purpose vehicle with distinctive sport utility-like design " is based on the same platform the 2010 Chevy Cruze rides on and is powered by the same 2.0-liter turbodiesel we Yankees will never see. The press release, dancing like Fred Astaire around the strings of the letters "SUV" and "minivan," is below the fold and another picture more than the two we already had, below. Sorry, they didn't actually have the Orlando here at the GM Paris preview, just on the tube overhead. galleryPost('orlandoconcept ', 3, 'Chevy Orlando Concept'); Chevrolet Orlando show car signals entry into new segment for the brand Paris Motor Show Preview: First Images of the seven-seat...

Yes, friends, we're live at GM's Paris Motor Show preview to bring you this live reveal (not from Paris) of — the Chevy Cruze , the econobox you can't ignore. It's coming to Europe in March, 2009 and the United States in April, 2010, and as we already know, it'll be powered in Europe by your choice of a 150 HP turbodiesel and two gas-powered engines. We'll have more pictures in a few minutes.

Here are the first details and photos of the new Chevy Orlando concept MPV ahead of the official reveal at the Paris Motor Show next month. The Orlando, a seven-seat family vehicle based on the Cruze platform, drops it squarely into territory currently occupied here in the states by the Mazda5 and...not much else. The three rows of seating are arranged theater-style for better occupant visibility, and of course, they all fold flat for minivan-like cargo capacity. The photos show a sportier exterior than what we're used to seeing from the MPV market, as well as Malibu cues on the dash and front passenger compartment — all good things, and something we hope to see at our local Chevy dealer toward the beginning of the next decade. Press release after the jump. galleryPost('chevyorlandoparis', 3, 'The Only Thing Orlando And Paris Have In Common'); Chevrolet Orlando show car signals entry into new segment for the brand Zurich - The Orlando show car, making its world...

At a news conference announcing GM's Lordstown, OH plant will receive a hot $350 million cash injection to build the new Chevrolet Cruze in the United States, GM CEO Rick Wagoner revealed a full-size foam model of the new 2011 compact replacement to the Chevy Cobalt. As we reported yesterday, the new Chevy Cruze will be revealed officially at the Paris Motor Show (so we can see that brand-spankin' new interior in person) and is scheduled to go on sale in March 2009 in Europe, where it will be available with 1.6-liter and 1.8-liter gasoline engines and a 2.0-liter turbodiesel. GM has not yet made a commitment on engine options to be offered here in the United States when the Lordston plan starts pumping out the little econoboxes by mid-2010 other than the already announced 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. Full press release below the jump. galleryPost('2011ChevyCruzeFoam', 5, 'Cruze In Sculpted Foam'); galleryPost('cruzeshots', 3, 'Cruze In Detail'...

GM just dropped high resolution images of the upcoming Chevy Cruze small four-door on us in advance of its Paris Motor Show unveil later this year. We must say that at first glance, we're quite impressed. The new car gets a striking design which mixes smooth planes and sharp lines for a surprisingly handsome design. Oddly, the tail lights on the Cruze mimic the headlight design we've seen on the upcoming Chevy Equinox while also receiving the new bold front end from the Chevy Malibu. If this is the direction GM's small cars are going, we've gotta say, our interest is piqued. But that's just the design. We're also told the new Chevy Cruze will get three engines when it launches in Europe in March of 2009; a 16-valve, 1.6-liter (112 hp) and 1.8-liter (140 hp) gasoline engine, plus a new 2.0-liter turbo diesel (150 HP). All will be mated to either a five-speed manual or a class-leading six-speed automatic transmission. No official word yet on fuel economy — but...

The brand all about the 'merican revolution is reporting they'll be revealing an all new car at the Paris Motor Show later this year called the Chevy Cruze. We don't know much other than the 15-foot-long Cruze will seat five, be available in Europe by Spring of next year and have the same global design language as the rest of the bowtied brand. We'll have more live from Paris and in the months to come as it shoots out onto the web. For the moment, hit the jump for the press release — and thankfully no more missile references. Chevrolet Cruze: A new name and a new design for an all-new car Detroit - Chevrolet announced today that its all-new entry in the compact segment will be called Cruze. The new Chevrolet will make its global debut at the Paris Motor Show in early October. Cruze was developed by a global design and engineering team and will be built in multiple locations around the world. The Cruze approaches an overall length of 4.6 meters and offers ample interior...
