Fisker teased us earlier this week with a detail shot of the Karma S Sunset Concept , but we decided to uncover the droptop a little early thanks to KORSdesign . Henrik Fisker’s little coachbuilding shop will take the wraps off of the Fisker Karma production car at the Detroit Auto Show and will have a little something extra to show off their range of abilities. Fisker’s little something extra will actually be a little less by removing two of the doors and the roof from the Karma sedan. Officially dubbed the Fisker Karma S Sunset , the concept will feature the same plug-in Q-DRIVE lithium-ion battery powertrain good for 50 miles on a single charge and roughly 408 horsepower from two electric motors. A small gasoline engine turns the generator and should allow for extra range, though it’s not yet been determined what that range will be. Click HERE to see the 2010 Fisker Karma S Sunset! The Karma S Sunset Concept will feature a very similar design to its production sedan sibling, though the...

Official press photos of the new European market Honda Insight made their way onto the web today a wee bit earlier than Honda wanted. But, all that means is we've got a full gallery below. We showed you blurry images of a leaked JDM Insight brochure last month, but we’ve received a set of leaked images ahead of the 2010 Honda Insight’s official debut on January 11th at the Detroit Auto Show . What’s shown is a European-spec model that will likely be very similar to our own U.S. version, though in left-hand drive configuration. galleryPost('productioninsight', 6, 'Production Euro-Spec Insight Photos'); What we can see from these new photos is that the production Insight has lost some of the Paris Motor Show Insight concept’s flashy lighting features and it’s also toned down the rear design quite a bit. Overall the translation from show car to production has served Honda’s earth-saving hybrid well. galleryPost('insightdetails', 6, 'Production Euro-Spec Insight...

Honda’s readying its production Insight for worldwide debut at the Detroit Auto Show two weeks from now, but we’ve got scans of what looks to be the sporty Modulo version for you now. We showed you the front three-quarter shot that Honda provided of its production Insight earlier this month and we just recently received these scans from a poster at the Temple of Vtec . Depicted are the first shots of the production Insight from the rear three-quarter as well as its interior. galleryPost('hondinsightjpscans', 8, 'The Body Kits Now Make Cars Faster And More Fuel Efficient'); While the front design of the 2010 Honda Insight goes largely unchanged from the Insight Concept , the rear design is tidied up a bit and loses some of its show car flair. The interior is also very similar to what was shown in the Paris Motor Show Insight Concept , but it loses some of the neat capacitive touch button surfaces in favor of traditional push buttons. Also shown is what appears to be the sportier...

This is the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S, the newest member of the Quattroporte lineup. The trident-emblemed brand plans to officially unveil it at next month's Detroit Auto Show . What should we expect? The Maserati Quattroporte set the bar for performance 4-doors back in 2004 and has been updated with a new Sport GTS line just in time to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Maserati's first Indianapolis 500 win. A remapped version of the Maserati GranTurismo S 4.7-liter V8 engine now produces a stout 433 HP along with a new transmission management software that should help move this 4-door executive sedan to 60 in less than 5.5 seconds. The front and rear suspension features single-rate dampers, stiffer springs and a lower ride height than the standard S model. A new sport exhaust features pneumatic valves to let you know this Maser isn’t anything like your daddy’s Mercedes. Visually, the new Quattroporte Sport GTS features a more sporty and aggressive black grill with vertical...

Following yesterday's hind end reveal of the Fisker Karma Tesla-killer, today we get a low-resolution peek at its nose ahead of an official reveal at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show . Again we see the production-intent car mimics the concept car almost identically, though the grille is revised nicely for a much sleeker look. But what of the details of this unique luxury automobile? The price has been revised from the original $80,000 upwards to around $87,900 but along with the price we get specs. The Karma will get not one, but two electric motors as part of its "Q-drive" powertain system, and they augment a 265 HP GM Ecotec turbocharged four cylinder for a grand total of 408 HP and 959 lb-ft of torque. In full sport mode that car will scoot from zero to 60 MPH in only 5.8 seconds, top speed is pegged at 125 MPH. Switch it down to miser mode and you can go 50 miles in all electric mode, drawing power from the lithium-ion battery pack. Production is planned for 15,000 cars a year...

If we take out our crystal ball and look forward two months, the big three will have their precious loans in hand, Barack Obama will have solved global warming and given everyone a puppy that craps rainbows, and the 2009 Fisker Karma will be fighting the 2010 Toyota Prius and the 2010 Honda Insight for bragging rights as press darlings of the 2009 Detroit Auto Show . Considering this preview image looks pretty much exactly like the original concept right down to the solar panel roof, it's going to be tough for the decidedly less sexy Prius and Insight to keep up. The car will be debuting at the Detroit Auto Show just one year after it rocked the boat with its debut and ambitious production timeline. We can already see where this is going. Looking deeper into that crystal ball, we can already hear the sensationalist articles spouting off about how the Karma is proof of the ineptitude of the Not-So-Big Three — look what they were able to do in only one year after all! That'll...

Today GM officially unveiled the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. Yes, the same CTS-V that we have seen again and again . Don't fret, we're still salivating over it. The CTS-V delivers 550 horsepower at 550 lb.-ft of torque with its 6.2-liter supercharged V8. It is available in six speed manual transmission or automatic with paddle shifters. For the suspension, Magnetic Ride Control ensures that all shocks of the road are absorbed and the Performance Traction Management system should keep all wheels on the road. It will be launching in the fourth quarter of 2008. galleryPost('cadillacctsvdasexterior', 5, '2009 Cadillac CTS-V Live Shots'); galleryPost('cadillacctsvexterior', 18, '2009 Cadillac CTS-V Exterior Press Photos'); galleryPost('cadillacctsvinterior', 3, '2009 Cadillac CTS-V Interior Press Photos');

The 2009 Borrego marks Kia's first entry into the mid-size SUV market. Featuring body-on-frame construction and an optional 4.6L, 333bhp V8, it should offer serious competition to vehicles like the Ford Explorer. It also features three rows of seats, optional air-suspension, hill descent control and a high- and low-range 6-speed automatic gearbox. With the V8 it can tow 7,500lbs. The Borrego goes on sale early this summer. galleryPost('09KiaBorrego', 6, '2009 Kia Borrego Unveiling'); galleryPost('09kiaborregoleak', 6, '2009 Kia Borrego');
