As we get ready for the Detroit Auto Show , Japan's getting ready for their annual Tokyo Auto Salon . Think of it as our SEMA show, but on crack and with lots of cute umbrella girls. Honda is bringing a number of concepts to the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon; its most important being the tuner-like Sport Modulo S2000 and the Sport Modulo Fit . Both cars feature an interesting, yet aggressive front fascia with integrated LED lighting. The interior of both cars will carry the theme by adding unique fabrics and color schemes not found on the production versions. Honda is also showing a number of other cars including the Racing Modulo Civic Type R, Crossroad, Accord, Odyssey and a bedazzled and bejeweled Life. Honda will also show a full range of Modulo styling equipment, audio, navigation systems and accessories. It’s likely that Honda will release more information on their concepts once the Tokyo Auto Salon begins on January 9, but until then enjoy our gallery below. galleryPost('2009tas'...

The 2009 Honda Pilot isn't the fastest or most exciting car to go on sale this year, nor is it the best looking. But, if we're honest with ourselves — which honestly, we aren't very often — it's probably the one we should buy. But that's the problem with honesty, it just isn't very exciting. galleryPost('pilotreview1', 6, '2009 Honda Pilot'); You see, with up to six or seven beefy bloggers, plus the occasional girly man (I'm raising my hand here) to haul around, most of the sexy sports cars we dream about are ruthlessly inefficient. Requiring Ray — we let him drive, it makes him feel powerful — to make an equivalent number of journeys to the number of people being moved just isn't the best way to start off sixteen hours of live auto show coverage. Aside from the fact that none of us enjoy being there, Ray's full blown borderline OCD has him biting our heads off at the best of times. Throwing cramped quarters into...

The 2009 Honda Fit has just been launched at the New York Auto Show. We've already told you about its 1.3 liter or 1.5 liter CVT mated engines and its one-touch folding rear seats. Initial impressions are that it looks a bit bigger, a bit more mature and a bit higher quality. The wheelbase has been expanded by two inches and the windshield moved forward by five.

newVideoPlayer("euroaccord_jalopnik.flv", 475, 316,""); The folks at Honda's European offices apparently aren't ones to leave much to the imagination. The next generation European Honda Accord (and next gen US Acura TSX) gets undressed with the same kind of modesty normally reserved for Page 3 girls. Other than a full profile shot, we get to see almost every angle of the touring (wagon) version of the new Accord. The version in the video and photos still retains the strong lines and extruding grille of the current Accord/TSX but has moved away from the Star Destroyer look by adding a few curves. galleryPost('euroacctease', 6, 'Next Generation TSX - Euro Accord'); Unfortunately, we probably won't be getting a wagon version of the Acura TSX. Just squint your eyes and imagine the teaser shots without the shapely trunk area (or check out these spy photos of the 2009 Acura TSX ). We hear it'll be coming with an optional 260 horsepower version...

The 2009 Honda Pilot shares a platform with the '07 Acura MDX, starting at a lower price, with simpler features, seating 8 people. It also features a new Variable Cylinder Management system, which means the engine, can run on 6, 4 or 3 cylinders. The looks draw heavily on classic American SUV design themes, but improve upon them in a clean, contemporary way. Just look at the area behind the C-pillars for instance; it resembles what the Jeep Liberty should have looked like. Inside, the central instrument binnacle is highlighted by a clear, lighted cover that certainly looks much better than the shabby black plastic you'll find there on most vehicles.
